February was a busy month at our new Houston branch's dedicated facility to support our customers' transition to Tier 4 Final.
Engineering, sales and support personnel have moved into their new offices, cranes and lifting equipment have been installed, dyno and testing equipment is being setup, and we are stocking our engine and parts inventory.
We are nearing completion of the new Houston expansion and we'll have another update on this project next month as we near completion.
The new expansion will include:
10,000 sq ft building
10,000 lb. overhead crane
Fully equipped fabrication/welding room
Engine dyno testing room
Built in air compressor with piping to each engine upfit station
10 separate engine build stations putting out a maximum of 40 engines/day
Engine offices and restrooms
Drive through service bay for loading and unloading
As the world demands stricter environmental protection, engines are
required to meet stricter emission regulations. The latest technology and a strong performance are two things customers expect from Kubota engines. Kubota continues to provide both by seeking excellence in three key areas: emission compliance, new strides in fully electronic controlled engines, and flexibility in products and services to customers worldwide.
Loftin Equipment’s packaged Kubota power units are available from 24.8 – 114.1 HP. We understand what engine characteristics are required to get the most out of a power unit. We supply power units driven by Kubota engines with proven durability, long service intervals, the ability to operate in harsh conditions, and provide reliable, unattended power.
Kohler has developed the Power Solutions Center (PSC). The PSC has been developed with your input and your request for an improved sizing and specification tool. We have also incorporated additional tools to make the job of sizing and specifying a power system easier.
The PSC is Kohler’s user-friendly spec and sizing program. An innovation so advanced, it will change the way power systems are specified.
Built for the harsh environments found in oil and gas fields, the versatile and powerful
family of Kubota natural gas engines share many of the same components found in their
venerable, heavy-duty industrial diesel counterparts. Durable, versatile and flexible,
these engines are designed and warranted for wellhead gas operations, and they reliably
power artificial lift systems, vapor recovery units, compressors, generators and many
other applications - with either natural gas or propane.
Architects, designers, and builders are key target groups for Loftin Equipment Co. and now with BIM Objects, the world’s leading manufacturer specific content provider, they have free access to the products we represent.
Simplicity is key for us and we want to provide our customers with useful resources during the design and specification phase of the planning process.
With BIM Objects, you are able to discover and download specific models, drawings and technical product information right at your fingertips.
Avoiding Over-Cooling of Diesel Generators in Low Ambient Temperatures
This information sheet discusses the issues that can occur from over-cooling on Tier 4 diesel engines using diesel particulate filters (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to meet the latest EPA emission standards, and recommended solutions to over-cooling.
