Loftin Equipment Co. and Bay City Electric Works to Mobilize Technicians and Move Power Generation Systems Field Service Management to the Cloud with Service Pro by MSI
MSI, a leading developer of field service management software, announced today that Loftin Equipment and Bay City Electric Works – together one of the largest KOHLER Power Systems distributors in the world – have selected Service Pro software for equipment field service management and mobile field service. Loftin and Bay City will use Service Pro to improve efficiencies in field service delivery for power generation systems, including generators and related equipment, for customers and internal service teams.
Loftin Equipment and Bay City Electric Works are power generation total solutions providers to customers from California to Texas in the data center, healthcare, military, utility/municipality/wastewater treatment markets. As part of a company-wide emphasis on continuous improvement, Loftin and Bay City have initiated an effort to provide better customer service through use of technology.
“Our goal is to constantly improve efficiencies for our customers and team. Utilizing the latest field service technology will help us raise the bar in service for our customers, while retaining a family culture,” said Chuck Loftin, President of Loftin Equipment.
Having grown from a single location power systems distributor serving Arizona to a 10 location power generation solutions provider covering Texas to California including Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico, Loftin Equipment and Bay City Electric Works sought a single field service application to manage all of their field service operations, including mobile, scheduling, service agreements, assets, inventory, inspections and more.
“With new field service technology, we can be more effective, and ultimately a better partner for our customers,” said Loftin. “Service Pro from MSI will enable efficiencies that translate to helping our technicians shine for the customer, including more accurate schedule timeframes, less return trips, more efficient diagnosis and elimination of unnecessary steps from labor service to invoice.”
Kohler Bolsters Its Robust Diesel Mobile Generator Line
Kohler Power Systems is adding two new models to its robust line of diesel-powered mobile generators. The 90REOZT4 and 120REOZT4 offer flexible options to meet end users’ needs and feature Kohler’s unrivaled quality and reliability. The Tier 4 Final generator models are built to withstand the elements, run long hours in prime and standby applications, and meet all EPA emission standards.
“The 90REOZT4 and 120REOZT4 offer quiet and reliable operation while delivering dependable power wherever it’s needed,” said Anne Feudner, product manager for Kohler Power Systems. “Backed by our premium three-year warranty, the two new models are the sixth and seventh option within our award winning Tier 4 Final diesel and gaseous mobile generator lineup. And, like all previous models, they’re compatible with our recently launched mobile paralleling box.”
Both the 90REOZT4 and 120REOZT4 are EPA emission certified for non-road use and are equipped with a rugged DOT-certified trailer and patented durable enclosure for easy maintenance. Nothing is attached to the enclosure; all wiring and connections are through the back of the unit, making it easy to remove the entire enclosure for fast engine access. Both units use John Deere Tier 4 Final 4.5L engines that help lower operating costs with efficient performance and fuel savings. Kohler’s complete diesel mobile generator line will feature nine models, with the remaining two scheduled to launch later this year.
Loftin University is a 1st class learning center where technicians of all skill levels can learn about the Kohler Power System products. We teach in both a classroom and a practical lab, with a broad cross section of equipment that fully encompasses the technology seen in the field and offered by KOHLER.
According to the US Department of Energy, when a power failure disrupts IT systems, 33 percent of companies lose $20,000–$500,000.
Kohler Power Solutions Center
Kohler has developed the Power Solutions Center (PSC). The PSC has been developed with your input and your request for an improved sizing and specification tool. We have also incorporated additional tools to make the job of sizing and specifying a power system easier.
The PSC is Kohler’s user-friendly spec and sizing program. An innovation so advanced, it will change the way power systems are specified.
