Optional Generator Services
Optional services include:
- Cooling system, including radiator cap, is pressurized and tested for leaks, following manufacturer's specifications.
- Engine block is tested with infrared equipment for "hot spots" that could indicate potential future problems.
- Block heater is tested with infrared equipment for proper operation, including the block heater thermostat, element, circulation pump and controls.
- Generator alternator is tested with infrared equipment for "hot spots" that could indicate a breakdown in the insulation or potential future problem.
- Generator alternator is tested with high voltage equipment for possible breakdown in the insulation.
- Generator controller board, relays and wiring are cleaned with approved solvent, and board are inspected for potential problems. Infrared equipment is also used.
- Generator rear support bearing is inspected and serviced.
- Generator electronic governor components are thoroughly cleaned, tested and adjusted.
- Engine starter is load-tested to identify remaining useful life, and potential failure.
- Engine battery charging alternator, and battery charger are load-tested for capability and potential failures.
- All DC load-carrying cables and connects are tested for voltage and current capability.
