Warm sea surface temperatures and a weak or non-existent El Niño will contribute to an above-normal hurricane season in the Atlantic this year, NOAA announced, saying that 11 to 17 named storms, 5 to 9 hurricanes, and 2 to 4 major hurricanes are possible.
The predictions came in the official forecast by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the hurricane season that began June 1st.
During the middle of a hurricane is not the time to realize that your generator is not prepared. A tailored planned maintenance program from Loftin Equipment will greatly reduce the chance of your system failing when it has to perform.
We also maintain a comprehensive rental fleet and our team of rental experts have the knowledge and experience to ensure we have the equipment and assets in place to respond to all of your generator rental needs.
Rental Equipment
Loftin Equipment is your full-service supplier of emergency backup and prime power for a variety of critical applications. Wherever and whenever you need it, we’re on hand with generators, redundant power systems, power distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and mobile lighting. We can provide generators from 20 kW to 2,000 kW, as well as Dual Pack redundant power. The Dual Pack redundant power system contains two generators which operate in-phase, sharing the load. If one generator should ever malfunction, the other takes over the load entirely without missing a beat.
The Importance of a Scheduled Planned Maintenance Program
Like any other equipment, your generator power system needs periodic maintenance to keep it in top condition and ready to operate when the lights go out. The middle of a power failure is not the time to find out your system has problems. Loftin Equipment Co. offers PM programs tailored to your needs.
This Information Sheet discusses the special factors and planning that must be considered when supplying generators in enclosures, that are installed outdoors in regions subject to high winds.
