Kohler is pleased to announce the release of the new Power Solutions Center (PSC). The PSC has been developed with your input and your request for an improved sizing and specification tool. We have also incorporated additional tools to make the job of sizing and specifying a power system easier.
The PSC is Kohler’s all-new, user-friendly spec and sizing program. An innovation so
advanced, it will change the way power systems are specified.
Key Components of the Power Solutions Center:
Accurate, easy to use sizing and specifying
Drag-and-drop load management
Automatic one line diagrams
Exhaust/Fuel line/Room sizing
Click-for-quote functionality
Works online or offline
Program automatically updates when connected to the internet
Links to specification sheets, drawings, and BIM models
The PSC can be broken down into six basic sections. The projects section allows you to manage the projects and set project conditions. Loads are added and the one line diagram is generated in the “Load Profile” section. The optimum generator is selected in the “Select Generator” section. The “Additional Tools” section provides tools to calculate exhaust pipe sizes, fuel line sizing, and room sizing. A specification for a generator can be easily created in the “Create Spec” section. The final section “Additional Information” allows the user to connect with their local distributor for a quote or for questions and provides links to technical information on the product.
The PSC is designed to be the platform that combines tools together into one place to provide a single source to answer all your power systems questions. We will continue to develop new features and tools that will be added to the system.
Kohler Power Systems has launched new generator products in
several of its market segments.
Kohler has continued to expand its range of mobile diesel generator sets with the launch of the
145REOZT4 and 175REOZT4 gensets that target both prime power and standby applications.
Kohler has also launched the 30REZGT propane powered genset, which was developed in cooperation with the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). It targets rental, commercial, construction and utility applications.
Scania and Oshkosh Corporation, a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies, have agreed to enter into a partnership under which Scania will deliver low-emission engines for airport product vehicles produced by Oshkosh. The partnership will cover a range of products to be launched worldwide.
Scania will begin by delivering industrial engines that meet Stage IV and Tier 4 final standards without the use of particulate filters, as well as engines that meet less strict emission levels. The 550-770 hp engines will be incorporated into airport
product vehicles.
Selective Coordination (SC) of Circuit Breakers is needed to comply with National Electrical Code and the requirements and the standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 110 and NFPA 99 - Health Care Facilities Code. The principal objective of Selective Coordination is to isolate the faulted circuit within an electrical system while maintaining power to the other, normally functioning parts of the system.
Provide peace of mind to your customers – and get rewarded for it! Get a $250 rebate for every Kohler generator you buy (14 to 150 kW) from May 1 to May 31, 2015.
The nation’s $876 billion power grid, which was built after World War II with designs dating back to Thomas Edison, features some 7,000 power plants connected by power lines totaling more than 5 million miles. The system’s 150 million customers are managed by 3,300 different utilities, according to the Edison Electric Institute.
